ABOUT DENNIS EDWARDS
Dennis Edwards was the legendary lead singer of The Temptations for 14 years, having replaced David Ruffin in 1968. He is the “voice” you hear on top the 40 Billboard hit singles Psychedelic Shack, Papa was a Rolling Stone (1972), Ball of Confusion (1970), I Can’t Get Next To You (1969), Shakey Ground (1975), Runaway Child Running Wild, Cloud Nine (1968), and more.
Dennis Edwards was a part of Motown’s first Grammy Award for Cloud Nine. During his tenure as a member of The Temptations, the group earned 16 Platinum albums, 53 Billboard hits, and 8 Grammy Awards. The Temptations were named one of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" by The Rolling Stone Magazine. Dennis Edwards was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 in association with Temptations members Otis Williams, Eddie Kendricks, David Ruffin, Melvin Franklin, and Paul Williams Jr.
Dennis Edwards was also a successful solo artist as he recorded the smash hit Don’t Look Any Further with Siedah Garrett in 1984.
