Dolly Parton delivered a keynote address on opening day at Dollywood in Tennessee, updating audiences on her health and mentioning her upcoming Broadway musical in development. Her appearance followed months out of the spotlight, including a postponed Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace that has now been rescheduled for mid-September.
Parton told fans she’s been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically following the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, and revealed she’s reworking songs for her upcoming Broadway production, Dolly: An Original Musical, slated to premiere in New York later this year.
